This is a beautiful setting. We were there a few hours just to sleep, but would love to come back to explore the area. I am pretty sure I would enjoy just sitting for an afternoon with the owners of this Motel. It is a step back in time in the best way. We had a queen sized bed. There was a couch, chair and desk as well. The bathroom was tiny with just a shower, toilet and sink, so may not be a great fit for people with mobility challenges in that room. Everything was very clean and comfortable. I can't wait to come back to this sweet place.
Lynn is so easy to work with. Friendly. Easy going. Very helpful. Rooms are nice and clean and cozy. I rented rooms 7 and 8 and had no issues.
The new owners have really worked hard to bring this roadside gem back to life. The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Having a fridge, microwave and coffeemaker was great.
For what it is, we really enjoyed ourselves. It is small and cozy and without frills, and just what we needed for a quick trip to the area. Nothing fancy, but VERY clean and a great place to sleep. The owner is one of the sweetest people I have ever met and she was very hospitable in offering us extra towels and fresh coffee when needed. We would definitely stay here again.
Really impressed with this hotel! Pros: Room was clean, bed was clean, the pillows even had protectors on them along with pillow cases. Bed also had a mattress protector and the mattress itself was clean. No dust at all even on the vents or ac unit. The room also smelled amazing, what ever air freshener they use keep using it! Coffee maker was clean, they also had complementary k-cups, cream, sugar, cups, and granola bars. Cable TV worked great. Water was HOT. Bed was super comfy and they even had an extra fluffy blanket to use. Cons: Water presser was kinda meh, but not a deal breaker. Walls are a little thin but luckily I didn't have super noisy neighbors. Bonus: I didn't have to speak face to face with another person to book and pay for my room! Pet friendly as well, had no problems with my two dogs.
So kind of a last minute thing. Great cute little room was told didn't have a fridge or microwave in the room which was ok. The single serve coffee was a good idea but no coffee maker in the room. Very quiet clean great service and just all around great. Old style vending machine. Would definitely stay again!
By far the cleanest motel I have ever stayed at. There were goodies too. The mint hot cocoa that was in the room was awesome. I hope management stocks up on mint hot cocoa for the rooms it's just fitting for St. Johns. Maybe have fun size mint m&ms as well. The manager was the nicest motel manager I have ever met in my life. Very friendly and very dedicated to her customers. If you are close to the area and need a overnight motel stay, I highly recommend you stay here instead of taking a chance of getting a dirty room closer to Lansing... :)
Stopped here at the spur of the moment due to bad weather coming fast. There was a number to call on the office door. Within 2 minutes we were told they could accommodate us. Nice and clean. Just the basics but everything you need to be comfy. Tornado warnings came and staff knocked on all doors directing guests to a storm shelter, if needed. Staff was very nice. Highly recommend.
